My Spring Must-Haves || ESSENTIALS

Hello everyone!

How excited are you for Spring? It’s one of my favorite seasons in the world (along with summer), so I knew I had to dedicate a nice and colourful post to it. I am bringing you some of my must-haves, or essentials, if you will, that I cannot live without in Spring. So sit back (or scroll, please) and enjoy 🙂

1. Colorful makeup

Springtime screams colors! Just look around you 🙂 So, this easy and wearable rainbow makeup is perfect for spring. Click here if you want to see how to do it. To achieve this look I used a 100 eyeshadow palette from Elf (review here).

As you can see, the palette offers a great variety of colors and the number of options you have with this is endless, especially with all the oranges, pinks and greens for spring 🙂 I got it for £4.50 on sale, and I think they no longer sell it, but there are numerous options for colors like this for not a lot of money out there.

2. Nude lips

This is my first ever MAC lipstick and I am really impressed with the quality and how it wears and how it feels (basically everything). I’ve had it for about a year now. It’s in the shade Myth (satin finish). I think that this is the perfect nude color, even though I do need a bit of lip gloss with it, since it can look a bit too pale for me. My boyfriend actually got this for me for our last year’s anniversary 🙂

Here you can see the swatch. It’s on the warmer side, but it really looks so pretty on the lips!

3. Hydrated lips

After the winter season, my lips need some extra hydration, and this has been my go-to lip balm for the past few weeks. I got it in my Do the Hoola bronzer kit by Benefit (hauled here). It feels really nice on the lips, and you get a bit of a tint, too.

You can see that it’s not intense what so ever, and it’s perfect for spring 🙂

4. Fun nail polish

If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you know I’m all about nail art (I’m sorry there haven’t been any nail art posts, lately. Hopefully, I will have one for you soon). So, I had to choose a couple of spring colors to share with you. Here I have: Maybelline Colorama in 77, which is a super pretty baby pink colour. S-he stylezone in 300, which is a bright yellow polish. Essence no make-up look powdery finish in powdery rose, which looks super natural on the nails on its own, but you can use it as top coat, and your polish will have a nice powdery finish. Essence the gel nail polish in 27 don’t be shy!, which is a super light yellowy-green polish, and lastly, Essence colour&go 170 beijos de brazil, which is a beautiful green polish.

5. Moisturized hands & Flushed cheeks

We all want to look nice and natural in Spring, so I think that this silky touch blush in 10 adorable is perfect for just that. It’s a really natural pink color that gives just the perfect amount of color on your cheeks. Plus, it’s super inexpensive and a major change from the dark red one by Wet’n’Wild I used in Fall and Winter.

Also, who doesn’t want nice and soft hands? I hauled this in my London Beauty Haul, and have been using it ever since. I can definitely see why everyone raves about this product. It’s perfect and leaves my hand super soft and moisturized.

6. Glowy skin

Do I even have to say anything about that? Just look at this swatch and take a moment to appreciate it. It’s stunning, and I love using it on my cheeks and a bit on my forehead, because it really does make my skin glow. However, you can use this on the eyes, too. It’s really pigmented, so I suggest you be careful on your cheeks. This was also a gift from my boyfriend for this past Christmas (yes, he is generous 😀 (and you can see the Christmas haul here)).

7. Sunkissed skin

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably quite pale after the summer. That’s why I like to use bronzers. I have a Makeup Revolution Bronzer in  Medium Matte, Hoola by Benefit and the Dew the Hoola liquid bronzer by Benefit. I haven’t really tested the latter two out, but so far, I have to say I expected a bit more from both of them. I will give them another chance, or two, but so far, I actually prefer my Makeup Revolution one. If you want to see what else was in the kit by Benefit, click here.

8. Fresh scents

Again, if you’ve been around for a while, you know I love my perfumes (collection and fragrance descriptions here). However, these are my picks for the Spring season. Moschino Cheap&Chic I love, Moschino Cheap&Chic Hippy Fizz, Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden and Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue. These are all super fresh and, depending on my mood, either sweet and flowery, or citrusy.

9. All star shoes

I love my All stars. I don’t really care for the brands, but these I cannot live without. I think those are some of the most comfortable shoes in the world, and as soon as the rain stops and the sun comes out, I live in these. They can be dressed up or down, but they are super casual at the same time. The color options are endless. However, new ones can be quite hard, so you have to give them time and walk in them, before they become comfortable 😀 These are all of the ones I have, and the oldest ones are the colourful black ones. They are around 10 years old, super battered, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing them (you can judge me all you want :D).

10. Fun scarves

I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand going out with my bare neck. Every bit of wind I feel, and I’m super uncomfortable without at least something around my neck. I would look super wierd with knitted scarves at +20 degrees Celsius, so I decided to pick a few light weight ones that are Spring appropriate, but still keep you warm. How cute are these? I have a mustache infinity one, a colourful leopard print one, and a beige one with teeny tiny flowers. I have about 100 more, but I couldn’t get them to fit in this photo 😀

11. Colourful shirts

The last thing on my list are colorful clothes. Either button-up short sleeved shirts, or T-shirts, but I need them to be colorfu. I spend whole two seasons in jackets and boring colors, so when the Spring finally arrives, I can’t wait to throw some color on me. I usually go for pastels, or bright colors, or some fun patterns 🙂

And that’s it for this post. I did a similar post for Fall, if you’d like to check it out. What are your Spring must-haves? Do you like mine? Which one is your favourite?

Thank you for reading!
See you soon xx
