Now, you’ll see for yourself, I wasn’t very productive for the past three months, but I think I accomplished a lot, and I am very excited for what is to come. So, let’s see what I achieved!
My blog was kind of put on hold during summer. Firstly, because I was on my three week vacation, then because I was writing my thesis and studying for my exam. However, my stats were quite nice during that period, and it didn’t suffer a lot because of that.
Now, I’ve come back, but I’m not really writing consistently as I would like, but I promise I’ll get back on track soon. A lot has happened and you may or may not know about this.
Firstly, I signed up for some internet marketing classes. There we are working on our blogs, we use some marketing strategies, and I’m learning more and more. Soon we’ll get to SEO, Google AdWords and Analytics, so I can’t wait for that part of this course. Now, I actually paid for that class, but I think it’s a good investment.
Next, I got a camera! Now, I know what you’re thinking… Why aren’t my photos better? Well, I’m still waiting for batteries to arrive LOL! But I promise you, as soon as the batteries arrive, you’ll know.
I also hit my goal in terms of pageviews, which was 2.5k, and I actually had 3.259 pageviews in September, and at the moment I have just a little bit over 4.000. My goal for this year is to hit 5.000 (2.5k was just the first goal :D).
Then, I went through some old posts, did on their SEO, and it showed immediately! I have so much more pageviews now and I have SEO to thank for that! So I encourage you to do the same!
Lastly, I wanted to write some personal posts, just to let you guys know me a little bit better, and one of the most recent posts like that was my Croatian Vacation post.
I didn’t: create a freebie, get 500 followers on one social media or plan once a week (which will have to change due to hectic uni semester).
Huge things happened on the personal plan.
I managed to finish my thesis on time and got an excellent grade.
I enrolled into a Masters programme in uni and I actually got into TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) programme, which was my dream ever since I was around 8, but I was convinced I wouldn’t get in. My grades weren’t the best, but I managed it! Destiny? Maybe! But I was over the Moon excited and still am. Classes just started today.
I also enroled in another Masters programme (we have 2 majors in my uni), which is Museology. Now, that wasn’t the plan, I was going to be a teacher of IT, but I didn’t get into that programme, so let’s see if that Museology thing grows on me 😀
And that’s about it for what I achieved on the personal level, but I still think it’s pretty huge. Especially since I didn’t expect to get into TEFL, and I wanted it soooo badly for soooo long!
What I didn’t achieve: work out (yes, I do realize it’s been nine months), plan once a week (this is both for personal and blogging goals), clean 1x a week (to be fair, I just recently moved back in after summer holidays, had a big clean up and already cleaned a few times after that. I did clean 3x in the past 3 weeks, but let’s just see if I stick to that :D), cook more (I didn’t have the time, the ingredients (since I just moved back in) and the will power, to be honest) :D.
Now that’s it for this quarterly update. I will definitely do the last one at the beginning of next year, to see what we did. I hope my blog continues to grow from now on and I hope I’ll be able to get my sh*t together, since I’ve been everywhere and nowhere at the same time lately.
I hope I didn’t disappoint you, ’cause I’m pretty happy 😀 I know I have a lot more to work on, but do I really need to tick off each and every goal? Well, I do, but the world isn’t going to stop if I don’t.
What did you achieve lately? Do you think I accomplished something this trimester or not? What goals would you like to fulfill until the end of the year? Let me know!
Thank you for reading!
See you soon x
