Hello everyone!
Disclaimer: Apologies to everyone who saw this post in its very raw form. I had a party to attend yesterday, and really wanted this post to go live, so I hurried, threw in a bunch of photos and posted it. I’ve decided to go back to it today, and make it a bit more presentable.
Today I have a Halloween post for you (finally). Fun fact, I did my Halloween nails last week, but hated the way they turned out and decided not to post. However, now I have both nails and makeup for you, so I really hope you’re not all partied up and I can still inspire you 🙂
I did a Halloween post last year, too. It was a very quick and simple nail design. This year I’m stepping my game up 😀 So I have both nails and makeup. Let’s start with nails and I hope you enjoy!
Nails
First, I am going to show you how I did my nail design. It’s a very simple one, since I didn’t really have the time after doing my makeup yesterday 😀 I literally did this design in less than 15 minutes.
What you’ll need:
- a base polish: Essence studio nails pro white hardener
- a white polish: Essence colour&go in 199 wild white ways
- a silver polish: Essence I <3 trends the metals in 21 steel the world
- a black polish: Essence I <3 trends the darks in 20 turn on the black
- a top coat: Essence colour&go in 101 absolute pure
After applying my base coat, I applied 2 coats of white polish.
After that, I applied silver polish using a sponge on outer corners of my fingers, creating almost like a little path down the middle of the nail.
Then I started drawing webs and spiders on my nails. I drew a big web on my thumb and my ring finger. The pinky had just 3 spiders, and the middle and the pointer fingers had both webs and spiders. I sealed the design with top coat and the design was finished!
Makeup
For my makeup, I decided to do something of my own. I took some makeup and just started drawing my face on and this is what I came up with. I did hear a lot of comments saying I was Lydia from Beetlejuice. It wasn’t really what I was going for, but I didn’t really mind it either 😀 What you don’t see is that I had a little bun on top of my head, which I decided after I took all of these photos.
I kind of ‘contoured’ my face with black eye shadow and eye liner pencil. I put it on my forehead, cheeks, temples, chin and nose. Also, the lip line was done the same way. My brows were black. I had a very strong cut crease on my eyes, but the colors mixed very quickly, so the line was no longer as visible.
On my eyes I used a black pencil liner by Essence, Urban Decay Vice 4 palette and some Misslyn pencil liners.
Sorry ’bout the nose 😀
The contour ended up a bit messy, but I’m actually quite happy with it.
And that’s it! Do you like my Halloween nails and makeup? Are you going to do something like that? Do you celebrate Halloween?
Thank you for reading!
See you soon x
