Hello everyone!
Well, finally I’m back. It’s been crazy busy, my mom got sick (I will talk about this in a separate post, once everything’s over, and she’s fine after her surgery), I managed to pass 6 of 8 exams, which is great, and now I have a week to myself and to finally start blogging again. What’s a better way to start over, but with a product empties post, right?
Did you know that it’s exactly one year since I came back from my London trip? Does the time fly by or what? If you want to see London tips and tricks, our 7-day itinerary and London hauls, you can see it all in my travel tag.
Let’s see what I’ve used up!
Foil packets skincare
Vichy Neovadiol Gf
This is one of the richest and most hydrating moisturizers I’ve ever had a chance to try. This is a densifying product, targeted for dry skin. It is paraben free and tested on sensitive skin. It’s amazing for winter time, since my skin is not as dehydrated during summer, so I don’t need a moisturizer that rich. However, during December and January, it was absolutely amazing! I wrote a review on Vichy Neovadiol Gf already.
Schaebens Luxus Maske
I love face masks, but for some reason, I don’t use them as often as I would like to. When I do, though, I expect a spa-like experience. This mask is supposed to be a very luxurious one, containing gold, champaigne, oysters and caviar extract. Of course, since this is a less than $1 mask for 2 uses, you can’t expect much, but I actually really don’t like it. I already said it and I still believe that it’s one of the worst masks I’ve tried. It kind of tingles, almost burns, it’s really sticky, and it did absolutely nothing for my skin.
La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Riche
This moisturizer is a much lighter formula than the Vichy one, but it feels so amazing on the skin! It hydrates beautifully, and since it is pro-radiance, it really does make my skin very radiant. I have a few more La Roche-Posay foil packets to try out, but I might buy this one full size! It contains hyaluronic acid fragments and is targeted for dry and sensitive skin, which is not my skin, but it works wonderfully!
Doliva Facial Cream
This is a facial cream for dry and sensitive skin, once again. It’s made in Germany, by Pharmatheiss. It’s really rich, very moisturizing, and the smell is divine! It’s quite rich, less expensive than both La Roche-Posay one and Vichy one, but it’s also not as good as those two. I did really enjoy using it, though. Mostly because of the smell, but if you don’t like fragrance in your facial creams, maybe avoid this one.
Afrodita HYDRA Thermal Natural Mineral Water Facial Cream
This one is probably my favorite of the bunch. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which my skin seems to enjoy (I’ve never used a product that contains it until now). It’s targeted for normal to combination skin, and has UV damage protection. If we consider the price and the quality, this one has to be my favorite of them all, and this is probably the one I am going to buy full size. Once I buy it, I will make sure to do a full review of it.
Body and hair care foil packets
Melem
If you’ve been here for a while, you know that I love Melem as a brand. They are Croatian brand, and are not yet available in other countries (as far as I know), but their products are amazing! I included their product in one of my international giveaways, and I will try and include it more! It’s an all purpose skin balm, which I like to use for my lips, but also for my hands before going to sleep. It really is amazing!
Egyptian Magic All purpose skin cream
This is Melem’s evil twin 😀 Just kidding, but it’s very similar to Melem. However, it’s nowhere near as good as Melem. It’s really greasy, and has trouble absorbing into the skin. I would not repurchase this one.
Ziaja Goat’s Milk body lotion
I got this in one of my beauty boxes, and I am more and more impressed with Ziaja every time I try something new. This was no exception. I love the way my skin felt after applying this, I love the scent, I love the texture, I love absolutely everything about it. However, I bought a different one in full size (also by Ziaja) in my last haul, because it came with a free micellar water (yes, I am that kind of a person :D), so I will make sure to buy it once I use that one up.
La Croa Argan Macadamia Oil Nourishing hair mask
The best hair mask at the drugstore. Period.
But, seriously, La Croa is a relatively new Croatian brand, and I’ve tried 2 of their products, both of which really impressed me. This mask is really nourishing, just like it says, it makes my hair silky and shiny and it smells beautifully. Absolutely gorgeous mask! It’s also available in a jar, but this foil packet is around $2, and you can stretch it out to two uses.
Skincare
Eveline Hydra Impact 360° Day and Night Creams
If you’ve read my Eveline Brand Review, you’d know I love them as a brand. These moisturizers are great, especially the pink lid ones (again, for dry and sensitive skin). However, I believe the night cream is discontinued (as any other moisturizer I ever loved), which sucks! These smell amazing, are very light on the skin and hydrate very nicely. I used up two of the day creams and one night cream.
I also used up the one with a blue lid, which I didn’t enjoy as much as the pink one. This one is targeted for normal to combination skin, but I didn’t really like how thick it was, and it sat on my skin a bit weird. It feels like this one is richer, which is weird, since it is actually for normal skin.
Eminence Organic Skin Care Cucumber eye gel
I got this little sample in a Beautybox I unboxed in the summer. It doesn’t contain a lot of the product, but a little bit goes a really long way, so I got a lot of uses out of it. I didn’t even manage to use up the whole thing before it dried up. The smell of it is a little bit weird, and even somewhat unpleasant. However, it felt soo good on my undereye area, and it hydrated like a dream! It’s really an amazing eye product!
Haircare
Avon Advance Techniques Dry Ends Serum
This is an old favorite of mine. I couldn’t really imagine my haircare routine without this bad boy. I think it works wonders, since once I don’t use it for a month or so, my hair becomes terrible. It hydrates my very dry ends, and it makes my hair silky and shiny and healthy-looking. It’s probably my 10th bottle already, and I don’t plan to stop using it any time soon. It comes with 30ml of product, and retails for about $3-4. Bargain!
label.m Honey&Oat Shampoo
I also did a label.m Brand Review, where I reviewed this shampoo and a conditioner from the same line. If you want details on it, go to that post. I think that the fact that I bought the full size of the shampoo, conditioner and hair mask says it all. It’s amazing, it helped my dull, dry skin a lot, and if you get the chance, definitely try it out! This is a travel size, which comes with 60ml of product, and you can buy it for around $5 or 6.
Body care
Balea body cream with sheabutter
One of my last year’s resolutions was to apply body lotion more (more meaning, I never applied it, and I had to start doing so). Since October or November 2016, I’ve been applying body lotion regularly, almost every day! I am very proud of myself, and I can’t tell you the last time I used up a body lotion. This was a nice one, a very cheap option, but I’ve tried better ones since, for sure.
Lush Dirty Springwash shower gel
This is a mint and menthol shower gel. It somes in a 250g bottle. It’s really refreshing and cooling on the skin, so it’s perfect for summer months. However, I don’t think I would spend that kind of money on this product (this one was a gift), since there are so many amazing options at the drugstore.
Makeup
As per usual, I have only 2 makeup products 😀 I have a hard time going through makeup products, but I made a decision to wear makeup more often this year, so we’ll see.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream
Since I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, I don’t really use BB creams. The reason why is that, when I do wear makeup, I like to wear something more glammed up 🙂 However, I did manage to use up this one by Garnier in the shade light. I do like it for what it is. It’s a pretty light coverage (as a BB cream usually is), but it evens out my skintone nicely. However, it’s really dewy, almost shiny, so I have to watch not to use too much and to set it with some sort of a powder. I already have another one, but a newer version.
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation
Last, but certainly not least! This has quickly become my favorite foundation, even though I had just this little sample containin 3ml of product. I had 4 or 5 uses out of it, and I loved it every single time. I will definitely order it in full size once I have some extra cash to spend 😀 If you want a more in-depth review, you can see it in my Benefit Brand Review.
And that’s it for today’s product empties post. Which products did you use up? Have you tried any of these? Is there a product you buy over and over again?
Thank you for reading!
See you soon x
