Hello everyone!
I know today was supposed to be a #FormulaFriday post live. However, things are, as you can imagine, still hectic, and I had no time to investigate 😀
Since I didn’t want to do a half-ass job with ingredients, I decided to review the newest member of my eyeshadow family. I ordered this from FeelUnique, around 2 weeks ago, and already had lots of fun with it. It is the Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes V1 Brights. Let’s see what it’s about!
What they claim?
“Create stunning eye makeup with 12 shades of highly-pigmented and long-lasting, mineral based eyeshadow.
- Ultra Mattes V1 Brights includes strong vibrant hues of cobalt blue and vivid purple
- Includes a matte dark colour, ideal for definition
- Suitable for all skin tones”
You can buy this palette on FeelUnique here, for €10.23. I also have a 15% off your first order link, so check it out here!
The packaging
We all (probably) know Sleek packaging. It is just that- sleek! It is matte black, with the brand name engraved. It’s also very compact, especially considering it contains 12 eyeshadows. I still have trouble opening the packaging, but I use something like tweezers, so it’s not that big of a deal. It has a pretty decent mirror, and it comes with a little sponge applicator, which I won’t be using. All the shades in this palette are matte.
Shades and swatches
If you’ve been around for a while, you know why I picked this palette. You know I love my colours on the lids. I wanted this one even before I got my first Sleek palette, but they didn’t have it in my drugstore. It includes 10 beautiful (some more than the others) shades, so let’s see what they are.
The first shade on the top row of the palette is a very light blue, almost mint colour called ‘Chill’. Next is a very hot pink, called ‘Pout’, then a beautiful light purple ‘Sugarlite’, a dark green ‘Dragon Fly’, a more reddish pink ‘Pucker’, and a gorgeous, bright yellow ‘Bammi’.

The bottom row contains a toned down grass green ‘Cricket’, a darker blue ‘Bolt’, a gorgeous orange ‘Strike’, a very light pink ‘Floss’, a light grey ‘Crete’ and a white ‘Pow!’.

As you can see in the swatches, the last 3 are not very pigmented, and they almost look like one colour. I probably won’t get much use out of those, but we’ll see.
Quality of eyeshadow
I love Sleek eyeshadows. I’ve tried their shimmery ones, and now I’ve tried mattes. I have to say, I didn’t expect them to be so nicely pigmented. I did both a finger swatch and a brush swatch, as you’ve seen, and even though the finger swatch is much more vibrant, on the eyes it somehow works wonderfully. You get an awesome colour payoff.
As you can see on the photo above, the colours are also very buildable. First you can see one swipe of orange, then two swipes, three swipes and four swipes. When you use a primer beneath it, you can go with less than four. In my look you may have seen on Instagram, I used both my eyeshadow primer, and a white eyeliner pencil as a base, and I was super impressed!
The eyeshadows don’t have a ton of fallout. I did experience some, since I wanted to really pack some colours on, but I was able to swipe it all off without any problems.
My thoughts
Overall, I think this is an awesome palette. I haven’t tried any other products from Sleek, except for the two palettes. However, even based on this experience, I love Sleek as a brand, and I am definitely looking forward to trying out more.
The palettes, both shimmers and mattes, are extremely gorgeous. They work! I love that they don’t really shed a lot, they are long lasting, and they are just as bright at the end of the night as when I first applied them! Awesome product, for sure!
And that’s it for today’s post! Do you own any Sleek eyeshadows? Do you like colours on your lids? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you for reading!
See you soon x
