Today I decided to show you my favorite and most used perfumes of all time. I have already talked about my all time favorite makeup products, as well as my favorite skincare products, so you can check those posts out. I asked you in my Insta stories a while ago if you wanted to see a post like this, and most of you said yes! I do post on my stories on Instagram more than anywhere else, so if you want to follow me, you can here. So, without further ado, let’s get into my favorite perfumes!
Day time
Firstly, I have to say that I don’t wear day time perfume as much. Usually I just take whichever comes first when I go to college or to grab a cup of coffee. However, these are the ones I use during summer mostly, as night time perfumes. But I do think they are amazing for everyday use.
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
I believe this was my first higher-end perfume ever. I remember falling in love with this scent so long ago, and really wanting it. Eventually, I got it, and this is that very same bottle. I should definitely wear it more often, because it’s getting a bit old, and I’m afraid it will go bad.
So, the notes in this perfume are:
Top notes: Apple, Sicilian Lemon, Bellflower and Cedar
Middle notes: Jasmine, Bamboo and White Rose
Base notes: Cedar, Musk and Amber
This scent is so fresh, very springy/summery and I think this is one of my definite staples!
Guess Seductive Sunkissed
I got this for my birthday a few years ago and I instantly fell in love with it. It is a very summery scent, kind of sweet, with some floral and fruity notes standing out. I really can’t wait for the summer and to wear it more.
Here are the notes:
Top notes: Pear, Raspberry and Grapefruit
Middle notes: Orchid, Vanilla and Jasmine
Base notes: Musk, Ebony Wood and Violet
Hugo Boss Boss Orange
This is another very fresh scent, and I really love wearing it for any occasion. Even though it’s not really as heavy as I usually like my perfumes to be, I love wearing it for a night out. It smells really luxurious and I feel amazing when I wear it.
Here are the notes:
Top notes: Red Apple
Middle notes: African Orange Flower and White Flowers
Base notes: Vanilla, Olive Tree and Sandalwood
Moschino Hippy Fizz
This is probably one of the most playful scents in my collection. I fell in love with Moschino scents a while back, and I love how fresh, citrusy and floral they are. This one instantly takes me back to my high school years, and to spring time and summer time. It is not my only Moschino scent, but I think this is my favorite.
Here are the notes:
Top notes: Green Leaves, Raspberry, Magnolia and Amalfi Lemon
Middle notes: Violet, Rose and Lotus
Base notes: Musk, Osmathus, Oak Moss and Virginia Cedar
Night time
Now we come to my real love and passion. If you haven’t noticed by now, I really love heavier, more night time appropriate scents, and I decided to share 3 of them with you, that I wear most often, and that I simply adore.
Christina Aguilera By Night
This one is probably the cheapest of the bunch, but the scent is by no means cheap. It lasts a really long time on me, and I do have to mention that this is my second bottle. I don’t think I ever repurchased a perfume I used up (even though I would like to repurchase some, but my collection is too big for that at the moment), so I think this says a lot. Also, I don’t mind using it up, since it’s not as expensive as some of the other ones 😀 This is heavy, you can’t possibly mistake it for a day time perfume, but it’s still sweet, and playful.
Here are the notes:
Top notes: Pineapple, Tangerine, Rhubarb, Red Apple and Freesia
Middle notes: Heliotrope, Peach Blossom and Lilly-of-the-Valley
Base notes: Vanilla, Amber, Oak Moss and Sandalwood
Hugo Boss Boss Nuit
This is one of those scents that will make you feel sexy and confident no matter where you are going. I really think this is my second favorite perfume (my favorite is yet to come) ever. It’s so strong, but comforting, gives you courage and you just have to feel good when you wear this. I am so sorry that I’m running out of it, because I know I won’t be able to buy it again for a while 😀
Here are the notes:
Top notes: Aldehydes and Peach
Middle notes: White Flowers, Violet and Jasmine
Base notes: Moss and Sandalwood
YSL Black Opium (original)
And we come to the star of the show. This is by far my favorite perfume of all time. I wanted this so bad when it first came out and I had a chance to smell it, and only a few months later, my aunt got it for her birthday and didn’t like it. Is there anyone luckier than me? I don’t think so. I am saving this bad boy so much, but whenever I use it, I want to soak in it. It is quite heavy (mind you, I’m using this word with a positive connotation), and smoky and woody, but I think that is exactly what I enjoy about it.
So, let’s see the notes one last time:
Top notes: Pear, Orange Blossom and Pink Pepper
Middle notes: Licorice, Bitter Almond, Jasmine and Coffee
Base notes: Cashmere Wood, Cedar, Patchouli and Vanilla
Final thoughts
From all you’ve read, I think it’s safe to assume that I have a type. When it comes to perfume, of course. I like either very fresh or sweet perfumes, or night time, heavier perfumes (which are still my favorite).
Also, I would like to say that probably one of my favorite notes is Jasmine, followed by woody scents and other floral scents like Orange Blossom and Violet.
