Femme Luxe outfits

I am bringing you a post I never thought I would write: a fashion post. First of all, I hate posing, and I proved to be the worst poser ever. However, I did manage to find just enough photos to create this post.

I was contacted by Femme Luxe to pick a few items from their website and create a post surrounding them. The way I decided to approach this is to create both an outfit and a makeup look to go with it! Today I decided to do two of the looks, while the other two will be featured in another one. Ready? Set! Go!

Mustard yellow casual look

This is my favorite photo from these outfits, but also ever.

Outfit

For this look, I got a Mustard Chunky Cable Knit Turtleneck Jumper Dress – Heidi*. Even though this is supposed to be a dress, I don’t exactly feel comfortable in something so short. However, I did want a mustard yellow jumper for a while now, so I was super excited when I saw this. It is super warm and comfortable.

I paired it with some black H&M trousers and my Cherry Red Dr. Martens 20 eye boots.

I was absolutely sure photos would look great outside, in the snow, while it’s snowing. I was wrong.

You can also pair it with a hat. I used a grey one (and probably broke all the fashion rules, but really loved the contrast of yellow and grey), which is also from H&M.

Makeup

Since I’ve created a few yellow makeup looks (and loved all of them), I decided I really wanted to do another one to go with this jumper. So, here is what I used to create this yellow look:

Face:
Smashbox The Original Photo Finish smooth & blur primer
Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in 030 Sand Beige
Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in 010 Porcellain
Misslyn Shaping Highlight & Contour Stick in 2 for contouring
Terra Naturi Loose Setting powder in 01 Transparent
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
Alverde Puderrouge blush in 01 Apricot
Wet’n’Wild megaglo highlighting powder in Precious Petals
Urban Decay All Nighter fixing spray

Brows:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe

Eyes:
Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions palette
Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes V1 (yellow shade to intensify the lid)
BH Cosmetics Weekend festival shade Euphoria (gold shadow in the inner corner)
Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara

Lips:
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Magic Wand

Black and red dressed up casual

Outfit

Black Knitted Ribbed Long Sleeved Midi Dress - Ellie

For this look I got a Black Knitted Ribbed Long Sleeved Midi Dress – Ellie*. This is a very simple knitted dress, which looks great on taller women. I can’t say I’m too tall, but I’m by no means short, and this length can be tricky. However, with this dress it was perfect.

I decided to pair this dress with my Cherry Red Dr. Martens 20 eye boots, some patterned tights to add some dimension to the entire look, and not to make it too black. I added a red necklace and a slim black belt to accentuate my waist. I finished the look with a huge black Carpisa bag.

Makeup

For this look, I wanted to do a warm eye look with neutral lips. I used just one palette for the eyes, which was pretty rare for me, until I got the Huda Coral obsessions one. But let’s see what I used for this look:

Face:
Smashbox The Original Photo Finish smooth & blur primer
Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in 030 Sand Beige
Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in 010 Porcellain
Misslyn Shaping Highlight & Contour Stick in 2 for contouring
Terra Naturi Loose Setting powder in 01 Transparent
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
Alverde Puderrouge blush in 01 Apricot
Bronx Colors Illuminating Face Powder Studioline in SIFP04
Urban Decay All Nighter fixing spray

Brows:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe

Eyes:
Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions palette
Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara

Lips:
Trend It Up Ultra Wear nude pen shine in 030

And those are the two outfits I prepared for you today. I think they are both very casual, but still have that dressed up feeling. Of course, you can always add more jewelry. I am not a jewelry type, so mine was minimal. You can also add more color to the second look to minimize the black even further.

Which of these outfits do you prefer? And which makeup look is your favorite? Do you think I did a good job combining outfits and makeup looks?

Thank you for reading!

See you soon x
