Hello everyone!
Pročitajte post na hrvatskom!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some empties with you. I have to say, these are not all of them since the last post. I threw some out, because my empties bag was full 😀 But I simply didn’t have time to write a post. No, that was a lie. January was a terrible month. I didn’t want to do anything, but lie down and do nothing 😀 Now I’m back, so let’s start the new year (starting in February) with a purging post. So here are my empties!
Also, I have decided it was time to concentrate on using as many products up as I can. My collection is way too big, so I don’t want to buy new things if I already have a few of the same products. So, you may see more empties soon.
Face creams
Afrodita Hydra Thermal Nutritive Moisturizing cream for dry skin
This is probably my favorite face cream for winter. It is very thick, very rich and very nourishing, but without being too heavy on the skin. I am definitely repurchasing this one.
Balea Beauty Effect day cream with SPF 15*
This day cream is somewhat similar to the one I just mentioned by Afrodita, but it’s a much lighter texture. It is actually perfect for spring or autumn. I even used it in the summer, but hyalluronic acid isn’t the best for summer if you don’t take very good care. I will definitely repurchase this one, too, once I use up everything I have in my stash 😀
L’Occitane Immortelle Creme Divine
My skin loves immortelle. So, basically every product with immortelle is a win. It was no different with this one. It is very nourishing, almost spa-like. It really is amazing. Right now, it’s not in my price-range, but I will buy it again one day.
Vichy Liftactiv Supreme Progressive anti-wrinkle and firmness correcting care
This was a tiny sample, which I decided to use up. I have to say, I was surprised at how good this was. It was super light, but it made my skin so soft and moisturized. It is also a bit out of my price-range, but maybe some day.
Other face products
Filorga Solution Micellaire Anti-Age
I got this in my Lookfantastic advent calendar, which I opened on my Instagram. It removed my makeup perfectly well, and it didn’t dry out my skin. I got about 10 uses out of this 50 ml bottle. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a doser, or anything to control the flow of the liquid out of the bottle, so I ended up using too much each time.
L’Occitane Aqua Reotier fresh moisturizing mist
This product was a gift from my dear friend nella_choo on Instagram. Please give her some <3. This was a face mist by L’Occitane. I love face mists, and this one was amazing. The sprayer is perfect, it really is a mist, and a very light mist. If you love products like this one, do check it out!
Balea Aqua Serum
If you live somewhere where Balea is available, and you still haven’t tried their signature Aqua, I have no idea what you’re doing with your live. This is perfect for really dry or dehydrated skin, so do get it if you can. I already have a new one, but I am using the one I showed you in my a.m. routine on Instagram, until I use it up.
Afrodita Hydra Thermal Concentrate with hyalluronic acid for extreme skin hydration
I used this as a serum, just like the Balea Aqua Serum. I did enjoy it, but when I was using it, my skin wasn’t as dehydrated. So I didn’t really see that much of a difference. I’m sure it is amazing for really dry skin, though.
Mala od lavande Immortelle serum
This is a Croatian brand, and they have the immortelle oil. I already told you about it in my post All Time Skincare Favorites. As I already said, my skin loves immortelle. This oil made my skin super plump and nourished, and even though many people hate it, I didn’t mind the scent. I am buying it again once I use up all of my face oils (meaning never).
Ziaja Sensitive micellar water
I use micellar water to remove my makeup, which means I use it once a week. My favorite so far is the pink micellar water by Garnier, and I really enjoyed the one by Filorga I just talked about. However, this one isn’t that good. It doesn’t take my makeup off as effortlessly as it should. I do have another one of this, unfortunately, but once I use it up, I probably won’t repurchase it.
Body
Adria Spa Shower gel lavender and olive
Lavender is not my favorite scent, I have to be honest. It reminds me of something, I’m not sure what, but I am not a fan of it. I think it’s obnoxious. However, this shower gel was so nourishing and nice on the skin, it almost made me forget about the scent. Almost. I am definitely trying more Adria Spa products, just without any lavender.
Dove Shower oil
I love shower oils almost as much as I love facial oils. They feel amazing in the shower, there is absolutely no stripping skin of its natural oils. If you’ve never tried any shower oils and your skin is dry, I really suggest that you do. You won’t be disappointed.
Hippy Garden Chamomile Spirit Shower oil
Another shower oil, a bit more nourishing than the Dove one, but a lot more expensive. Even though I really enjoyed it, I can’t see myself buying a $20 product for showering.
Alverde Shower gel with mint and bergamot*
This was sent to me by DM Hrvatska. It smells divine. Super fresh, and it is perfect for morning showers, because it wakes you right up. It was mild, it wasn’t aggressive, so I enjoyed it. I may buy it again!
L’Erbolario Gelsomino Indiano Shower Gel with Indian Jasmine
This is a shower gel I got in one of the beauty boxes here, in Croatia. You may (or may not) know that jasmine is one of my favorite perfume notes. Of course I enjoyed this. It smelled amazing, and the scent stayed on the skin after showering. It really was perfect! I will definitely consider repurchasing.
Versace Bright Crystal Perfumed Body Lotion
I was never the biggest fan of perfumed body lotions. Just to be clear, I don’t mean about body lotions with perfume. I mean body lotions which you can buy in pair with a perfume (or eau de toilette, more often). I feel like it doesn’t hydrate the skin, maybe even dries it out more, and the scent is never worth it. I thought the exact same thing about this one, but I wanted to use it up anyways.
Makeup
Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage in 030 Sand Beige
This is by far my favorite drugstore foundation. It gives great coverage, it’s not heavy on the skin, it doesn’t clog my pores and it’s very affordable. What more could you ask for? I am already using a new one. I have already posted an in depth review here on my blog.
Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base
When I just discovered the world of primers, and I wanted to try them myself, this is the one I bought first. Well, I never wanted to try another primer again 😀 It was completely useless. It didn’t minimize my pores, it didn’t make my makeup apply better. It did nothing. Good thing I discovered some better ones, and didn’t lose faith in primers completely 😀
Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in 005
I don’t think I ever have to test concealers to find a better one. I don’t have dark undereyes, all I need is brightening and tiny bit of coverage. This one gives so much more than I need and looks perfect on the skin. I already have a new one, which is in the shade 010. I already wrote this review, too.
Miscellaneous
Nivea Q10 Plus C Day Cream (sample size)
This was a very nice day cream, it contained Vitamin C, but I didn’t have enough of it to really see if I like it or not. I may try it some time in the future.
Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque (sample size)
Kiehl’s has some amazing products. Unfortunately, I’m afraid this one did nothing for my skin. It even burned a little, which to me makes absolutely no sense, since it’s supposed to be a soothing mask. I am glad they have these small sizes, since their products are so expensive.
Sephora Pearl Face Mask for perfecting and brightening
When I was going to Kuwait, I asked you on my Instagram which things are worth buying in Sephora (since we don’t have a Sephora in Croatia). Many of you told me I have to try Sephora sheet masks. Well, I bought two, and tried this one. However, it made me break out. Now I’m a bit scared to try the other one, but I will let you know how it goes.
Regenerte Advanced Toothpaste
A toothpaste. Yes, I am talking about a toothpaste. Why? Because I got it in the Lookfantastic advent calendar and said this was the most boring product, not creative whatsoever and not really something you’d expect in a beauty advent calendar. Well, I am here to tell you that I still feel the same. It’s a toothpaste. Who cares? 😀
BioTech USA B-Complex Food Supplement
I started taking this B-Complex supplement sometime around the middle of 2018. This has a pretty impressive ingredients list, and the RDAs are huge. This means that you’d get 10x more of some vitamin or mineral than you need a day. I’m still not sure if that’s good or bad, but I am sure that a body has to take at least a little bit of it, especially when the doses are so huge. As with everything else, I’m not the most consistant 😀 so I can’t tell you that it helped with this or that, but I do think it does something.
Label.m Honey & Oat Shampoo (travel size)*
I got this from Top Stil a while back and I totally fell in love with these guys. I got both the shampoo and the conditioner, and I bought full sizes after, which I still haven’t used up. The smell is absolutely amazing and these products really nourish the hair amazingly.
And that’s it for this post. I haven’t used up much, but I am going to change that for the next post like this, which will be sooner than this one, I hope 😀
What products did you use up? What is your favorite shower product?
Thank you for reading!
See you soon x
